Agoalofthisprocedureistorelievethepaincausedbypinchednervesduetoadamageddiscinthecervicalspine.Thediseasedordamageddiscwillbereplacedwithaspecializedimplant.
人工颈椎间盘置换术的目的是治疗因颈椎的椎间盘损伤导致神经受压而出现的疼痛。术中，用特殊的内植物来替换病变或受损的椎间盘。
RemovingtheDisc（去除椎间盘）
Thesurgeoncreatesasmallincisioninthefrontofthenecktogainaccesstothespine.Thediseaseddiscisremovedfrombetweenthevertebralbodies.
术者在颈前部作一小切口以显露脊柱。首先将椎体间的病变椎间盘去除。
PreparingtheVertebrae（准备椎体）
Thesurfacesofthevertebralbodiesareclearedofalldamageddisctissueandshapedtoaccepttheimplant.
将椎体表面所有受损的椎间盘组织去除，并塑形以容纳内植物。
ImplantingtheDisc（植入椎间盘）
ThePCM?artificialdiscisinsertedintothespacebetweenthevertebraeandiscarefullytappedintoplace.Theendplatesaredesignedtobondtightlytothevertebralbodies,stabilizingthespine.
将PCM?人工椎间盘插入到椎间隙，并小心地敲击到位。所设计的终板可紧紧地与椎体相结合，从而稳定脊柱。
AlternativeTreatment:SpinalFusion（替代治疗：脊柱融合）
Thespinalfusionprocedureusesametalplatetoconnectthevertebraeaboveandbelowtheremoveddisc.
脊柱融合术是用金属接骨板连接椎间盘切除的上下两个椎体。
PCM?ArtificialDisc（PCM?人工椎间盘）
ThePCM?implantisdesignedtopreservemotion.
PCM?假体设计用于保留脊柱的运动功能。
